I planted a few seeds today, some 'red cherry' tomatoes (just a few) and some parsley (Italian Giant). I got home and it was still light, so I also dug a spot by my path in our lawn and put in a thyme plant that I bought last month.
Parsley is very slow to germinate - if it doesnt germinate a good cheat is to buy plants from supermarket (or equivalent of your choice !) only £1.50 for 2 & plant them outside in the ground - they will provide cutting for parsley sauce etc for some time)
